Hi,
I’ve read through article K in some detail and also trawled through LABC articles and comments and I can’t find a straight and direct answer. So I’m hoping there may be someone here in a particular role, able to help.
I have an 800 wide stair case rising to a loft conversion. At the top of the stairs in an open landing space plenty big enough. At the top of the stairs, perpendicular to the right, is a bedroom wall and door framing. The door opens into the bedroom, away from the landing.
Ive seen the regs around dimensions for doors opening over the landing but nothing to clearly state a distance between the top of stairs and a door frame for doors opening away.
I’ve attached a diagram.
Anyone got any first hand experience of this?
