I am selling my house and had my loft/attic room boarded out etc with loft ladder (before i brought it mind), would this have needed planning permisson, i dont think it did, if it did then i have information regarding it, i hope it didnt!, i have mentioned this on my selling information to solicitors

Even if this was done over 15 years ago?, it was just turned in to an attic room with loft ladder/hatch and a sky light

It doesn't sound like a habitable room which would need planning permission. Just boarding out a loft space for better storage usage doesn't require planning (unless you're in a llsted building).

What you can't do when selling is state it's a bedroom.
