Loft conversion

Hi all

Thinking about buying a 3bed semi with side garge. Plan would be to extend over the garge and convert the loft into another room for storage

To gain most space (as small remove would be needed for stairs), I would like to also do a hip to gable conversion.

Do you think this would pass planning?

What about when are done alongside a double storey extension?

This would probably double loft space, as I would have full height the width of house inc garage

What you are describing does not sound like a hip to gable conversion. It seems to be an extension with a gabled roof instead of a hip.

If so, planners may resist this

Is this to stop semi's looking like terraced?

The house next door is a semi with a passage way down the side between the garage and there house
