i have a little problem i was hoping someone could help me with.

One side of my loft drips water through the felt.
what has also happened is as the felt runs down the roof, and a new
section of felt had been added, the overlap has curled away and can also let in a little water,

i was wondering if there was anything i could paint on or cover over the exesting felt with?

this is no major problem but i would like to get it sorted.

Do you mean condensation under the roofing felts ? if so, it will need more ventilation in the roof space.

i think so,
there are no holes, in the felt.
as i said were the felt joins, it has started to curl away.
but on a hole the felt can have little droplets of moisture on it.
i assume its a build up of condensation,
however 1 side of the loft is fine.
how do i gain more more ventilation in the roof space?

Are the eaves blocked with insulation?

Your loft should be cold, and draughty. Legally it must be ventilated.

Some people here might hang me for saying this, but if you have an unused and uncapped chimney breast in the loft, putting a vent on there would be useful as a short term solution, provided there isn't a gas flue in it :)

What type of ventilation do you have or do you not have any ?

at the moment the loft has insulation
and then boards over the top.
there if no chimney brest

Okay, so do you have no soffit vent under the gutter or ridge tile vent at the top ? Do you have gable end wall where you can put in a air-brick vent ?

so by the sounds of it
basicly i need to get some ventilation going on

Well yes, basically. It sounds like whatever vents the house had when it was built, have either been removed, or covered over.

is this still the case despite the fact i only have this problem on one side of my loft
