Hi all,

My gaff is a 3 bed detached built around 1995, I have loft floor insulation to the recommended heights in some parts apart from down the centre where it is chip boarded. We use it for storage only but my son has his 3D printer up there and it would make a good place him and his mates could go when they come over, but not a habitable room.

I want to make the house more insulated anyway so would the foil be good for generally keeping the house warmer and improving insulation? Is it worth doing and is it a diy job?

Yes.
Simple answer.
Not a good place to spend time with glass fibres in the air so better wrapped.

Think about the weight and flex. Loft boards will spread weight
