Loft hatch

hi am having a single storey kitchen built. i am plasterbording the ceiling 12.5mm plasterboard before getting it skimmed. i would like to put a loft hatch in the ceiling mainly for a bit of storage and access to electrics. and to be honest i dont know where to start in making one. any advice would be great thanks

Are you sure there's a pitch roof above you

the roof is pitched with a hip and lots of space in voids

So is loft trap anywhere else?

Is your roof type are gang nail trusses or do you not know because you cannot get into the loft?

Gang nail trusses have metal plate on all joints

I think it's a ridge board and 5x2/6x2 rafters type.
