Loft Insulation/Burner flue

The stainless steel(?) flue/trunking from my woodburner runs through my loft to exit the roof above. The loft is insulated everywhere except around where the trunking enters. I presume it is dangerous to insulate up to the trunking for fear of fire. Can someone confirm this please ?
