Running a bath a couple of days ago the hot water tap on bath suddenly spluttered, out came some brown water and it slowed to a trickle. As a novice to this kind of thing tried suggested ideas for a potential airlock but nothing. Checked header tank in loft and a section of loft insulation had fallen into it. Not at all great considering that stuff had been getting into our bath water, but having checked the washer on the hot tap (which is fine) I found a small clump of the insulation at the head of the tap. I removed this but the problem is still there. Clearly there must be considerably more in the pipework. Any way this can be resolved fairly simply or is this a job for an expert? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
