OK, so the topic of boarding over insulation has been covered lots but my main observation is people have recommended cross-batterns of around 50 - 100mm so you don't compress the insulation. In my loft my rafters (trussed) are 70mm deep so with 270mm of insulation I would have to use 200mm cross batterns so as not to compress the insulation.
I only need to board a 2msqr area so is it worth building a 200mm deep platform on the rafters or should I just leave it with just 70mm insulation under the boards.
