Joists are 6", is it ok to use 4" insuation between them, or should i double up.(got about 20 rolls of 4" multiroll)

Part of loft, stairs will be enetering so roof will be also insulated in this area.
Planning to use superquilt 14 on rafters which my local builders merchant sells, or could use Tri-Iso super 9 which seems to have exactly same uv values

Any views apprcieated

Double up the insulation, 1st layer between the joists & the 2nd cross-layered over. We go for approx 250mm on new build to get the u-value of 0.16
