Hi, my dad has recently had a Logic Ideal 30 installed and it never seems to stay off. When he sets the room temperature to a desired level it will reach it but never actually go quiet all the time, very rare it will go off completely it just cycles in the background. The instructions say it should only cycle 6 times an hour.
It has a Honeywell CM921 thermostat that will only go to 26oC even though it can be programmed to 32oC. The thermostat was installed in the hallway but we had to move it to the living room because the hallway made the boiler constantly on trying to heat the cold hallway.
Should the boiler stop cycling and stay off for a while, is the thermostat in the right place and should we be able to programme the thermostat past 26oC if we want. Thank you in advance

Have you turned off the hot water preheat ?, and why didn't you just program the stat to ask for a lower temperature instead of going to the trouble of moving it, come to that, where are the installers in all this, cant they answer your questions ?

Hot water preheat isn't on. The reason we moved the thermostat was because it was permanently sending a signal to the boiler to keep the temperature at 22oC because the hallway was never staying hot enough to maintain the room temperature set on the thermostat. It was nothing to do with asking for a lower temperature it was put in the living room because this was the only place it would stop cycling for a few minutes. Thanks

If I knew what the installer said I wouldn't be asking. This post is now closed useless replies given.

with an attitude like that you're lucky to get any response!! we don't have a crystal ball and can only help those who help themselves by giving us the best info they can

so you got a crap boiler, installed by a crap installer, bad luck!!

Not closed until the fat lady sings, the boiler has either a 2 year or 5 year warranty, how come you have the time to ask here, where non of us have had a sniff of money off the job, and yet you haven't got the time to ask the installer who was paid !!!!

Neilmol, that kind of reply makes you look like a right mug.

Unless you put the boiler in yourself......

This attitude has been exactly the same from OP on other forums.

No doubt he is just another troll
