Give it to the Jocks .. From Falkirk - a Plaice in Scotland - This spectacle beats the Londun eye.... Rain clouds as well, just to 'rub it in'.

A fair amount of 'captain Kirk' went into this piece of engineering.

The london eye wasn't nessecary. They built it because they could, because they wanted to throw some money about.

This, however, is solving a problem, getting boats from up the hill to down the hill, and vica-versa.

But only in the same way that theatres, cinemas, and theme parks are not necessary, it makes a shed load of money.

Great piece of engineering that in Falkirk!
London Eye's great too, for a fraction of the cost of the Millenium Dome (now that's a waste!) and actually good for tourism and revenue.

The only good thing to come out of London is the M4 -

I heard it has the equivalent of about 10 washing machine motors? It is well balanced, so takes very little energy to move it.
