I'm relocating my kitchen sink, the nearest foul water drain will be nearly 6m away. I know I can't go that far with a 40mm waste pipe, but does anyone know if building regs will permit a 50mm pipe at this length (or part 50mm / part 40mm)? Any answers/ suggestions would be much appreciated.

You don't say what type of foul water drain it will go into, will it be into a back or side inlet gully below grid and above water level or soil pipe from toilet.
It should be allowed in 50mm pipe at that length but it would be best to check with BC for your area.

Its not a soil pipe.
The existing sink waste pipe goes straight into the concrete floor and must join a gully underground, this gully has a hopper on the outside of the property, as you can see water movement when the sink empties. I plan to end the new waste pipe in this hopper between the water level and drain grill
The gully must go under the whole property then front garden and join the main sewer in the street.

Sounds like what your describing as a hopper is a gully outside.
Where you say the pipe is going straight into the floor this would be the pipe i'm refering to as a back or side inlet to the gully.
Providing the new waste pipe discharges above the water seal in the gully and below the grid you will be okay.
