Hi,

I'd like to replace our current toilet with a close-coupled toilet. The problem is that the current soil pile comes up through the floor (this is in the family bathroom upstairs). The centre of the soil pipe is 150mm from the wall (see pic below).

I've goolged it but I can't find a toilet/cistern combo so that the cistern will sit against the wall. I don't really want to make a box behind the cistern like there is currently. I've looked at McAlpine WC-CONQ and offset pan connectors but I don't think they'll quite do the trick. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Yes, since that picture was taken, I've removed the toilet unit, basin and some of the tiles. I plan to retile before fitting a new suite.

A concealed cistern and floor mounted pan could be a option. I doubt you can get a pan to wall option with a 90 degree soil pipe connection.

I solved a similar problem with a swan-neck connector. The toilet is downstairs and the floor is concrete, so repositioning the soil pipe would be not that easy.

Vitra S50 (open back; NOT compact) with McAlpine swan-neck connector will fit with the centre of the soil-pipe 'hole' at 230mm from the wall. Just fitted one.

Just re-read: if centre of your pipe is only 150mm from wall, a right angle pan connector might fit with that pan model (or a flexi). (Don't re-use your old one unless you want to mop up puddles...)

I can't see a problem.

My bog-standard CC suite (Lecico Atlas) has the cistern flush to the wall and a standard Multikwik 21/90 90° pan-conn would fit a 6" wall-to-centre soil pipe.

(No puns intended. ;) )

Thanks guys. I don't really want to move the soil pipe if I can help it. Would this sort of product work?

The blurb says that "The frame does include brackets which allow you to adjust the frame’s distance from the wall", but there are no tech drawings so I don't know whether my soil pipe (the centre of which is 150mm from the wall) fits within this product's tolerance.

Probably, but you shouldn't have any difficulty finding a close-coupled toilet & cistern that will sit against the back wall.

Thanks. I think I'll go for a wall hung toilet anyway and a concealed cistern as they look nicer.
