Afternoon everyone,
Been recommended to come on here and get some pointers - guys at work obviously didn't want to help ha ha ha .
So my question is it possible to wire a switch to this and then have wiring from the switch plugged into the mains?
If that makes any sense?
It's on a surround and we would like to have lights working separately from the electric fire (both plugged into double extension cable)..
Any questions asked I shall try and answer.
Thanks

Hello, it's not zero as such but this is something I haven't done before if that makes sense?
Thanks

Yes, of course you can have a switch and plug in the flex.

That really is a mess.
Why did you not place the driver next to the lamp and do away with that huge black cable and box in all the parts so that they are not touchable?

My other half bought it 2nd hand and she didn't realise there was downlights in it..so we are just going to make do with it - hence the asking about a switch etc
What would be best to get inregard to the switch etc..the surround is currently in the kitchen so keen to get it sorted and fitted
Thanks
