Looking to put bi-fold doors into a occasional guest room / bedroom. The room will be 290cm wide but quite thin, just 240cm, so when a sofa bed is open we'd need bifold or sliding doors. Also, want plenty of light into the new corridor, so a wider opening, but one that still gives good privacy / sound insulation when used as a bedroom.
Probably looking to put 70cm walls each side, so door opening would be around 140-150cm. But if there's an awesome door out there that is smaller I will build room to fit.
An important feature is that it must be easy to open, as might have elderly relatives staying, so ideally not something that needs both hands to pull middle and slide across etc. but one handed smooth action.
Seen some cheap doors on diy.com and some very expensive ones elsewhere, prices seem to range from £60 to £1000. Don't want to spend much more than £200 really though!
So, if anybody can suggest anything they've used that would be great.
