My 1st post so go gentle...Washing machine was making loud cluncking noise when on spin cycle.Lifted up the drum and found alot of play so thought it was the bearing.Removed spider and looked at bearings and all looked ok.I then decided to replaced spider and check again where the play is and it seems to be that the drum itself is loose on the shaft. Is it possible to fix this as I can't see any way to part shaft from the drum. Also when trying to check the inner bearing the rubber seal has come out and it seems impossible to get it back into the gaps of the bearing.Any advice would be appreciated as the wife is currently refusing to feed me until I get it sorted!

Nobody got any idea's.....I've since replaced both bearing but as suspected the fault is still there.I suspect the fixing of the shaft to the S/Steel drum has somehow come loose. So unless anyone has any idea's I will try and remove the whole assembly as I think this is the only way to get to this coupling.
