Hello, without insulting your computing knowlege check that the drive is seated propperly within the laptop if you turn the laptop upside down you should find there is a little catch to push or slide ect to remove the drive if you have some to hand spray some compressed air on the contacts of both the laptop and the drive but not too close as you dont want to damage them and then reinset into the laptop.
If that does not work then it would be safe to pressume that the drive is broken and either a replacemnt be orderd from your laptop manufacturer if its under warrenty or use ebay ect or just get an external usb one.
