Lost sound on windows 7 pro

Hi , Can anyone help me. I've installed windows 7 pro on my Toshiba P100-429 previously running XP. I have now lost the sound, I re-installed XP and this was ok, so I did re-install of the windows 7 pro media and once again no sound. Looking on the forums it seems to be a common fault. It keeps saying no Audio output device is installed, but on XP The audio device is CONEXANT HD AUDIO. I have tried toshiba support, but they don't offer support for this model for windows 7.

try this, its the vista driver, there isn't and will probably never be a windows 7 driver for it.
