Got an hoover softwave 1000 washing machine that makes loud knocking noise when filling with water,it's so bad that the water pipes move.
Any info helpful.
thanks
Good point by breezer - have you made sure that the hose goes to the height of the top of the machine before existing into the standpipe (or trap, or whatever)?
Yip, pipe just hooks over top of stand pipe, it's as if water comes in then stops then the pump pumps then stops then water then pump and so on and so on but very fast on off on off.
If the pump is being activated at a point in the cycle when it shouldn't, then it sounds like a programming issue.
Is it possible that you disturbed a connection when replacing the inlet valve?
That's all I can come up with, since we're now into the behavioural psychology of your particular washing machine model, so I'm not going to be much more help to you on this one.
