Posting this quick fix as finding it could save someone a call out charge or wasted effort to dismantle a Tumble Dryer. In this case a Bosch Serie 4 model but could apply to just about any front loader I would imagine. Symptom was quite loud metallic scraping sound when drum was spinning which could be mistaken for a failure of a drum roller or bearing but as is often the case it was just a piece of metal trapped in the gap between the rotating drum and casing just inside the door. In this case it was a zip fastener that has come off an item of clothing. In other cases it could be things like wood screws, or wire falling from a trouser pocket. Turns out a normal zip is about the perfect size and shape to get wedged in the drum gap.
So before calling anyone out get in the empty drum with a torch and have a good search around the front edge of the drum inside the machine.
Posting a picture of the zip caught in the gap.
