Sorry guys, you'll have to bare with me as i'm clueless when it comes to plumbing but i desperately need your help.

Often when I flush the toilet or turn on the cold water tap, or even start the electric shower I get a loud vibrating noise that fills the house.

This has been happening on and off for months now but in the past week it has been at its worst and i'm worried that one of the pipes might burst at the joint.

I live in a new dwelling that is 3 years old. I have bled the radiators but there is never any air in them.

Please help

thanks

Simon

the noise seems to be coming from the ceiling and possibly the boiler or the pipes connected to the boiler. Not sure really but the whole house vibrates when its at its worst.

It might be water hammer, fixed by adding an air vessel on to the incoming pipework.
