Pic 1. shows a rad on the left wall, and joist tails from the suspended floor in the next room. Now that you have a solid floor in the lounge, how is the rear room suspended floor ventilated?

You dug out the original solid floor(?) in the lounge, and then built it back up (with what?) to take a layer of insulation, and on top of the insulation is that underlayment or T&G chipboard?

In pic 10. you show the skirting returning on the face of the chimney breast but in earlier pics the front hearth occupies the width of the c/breast - no skirting present?

The finished lounge looks great - well done for perservering and doing things to a high standard. The light thro the blinds is perfect Film Noir, very atmospheric.

Thanks for your comments.
The joist ends in pic one are from the lounge, we cut them down so we were able to remove the joists. About 3 of the joist on the window wall had started to rot.
The rear room is ventilated from the back of the house and from the hallway.
The floor has, recycled hardcore, stone duct, concrete, insulation, T&G chipboard, floor underlay and oak engineered flooring.
The skirting is only on the sides of the chimney breast as building regs say it can't be on the face of the chimney breast. Pic 10 is the alcove on the left hand side of the fireplace, the skirting you can see on the front face of alcove in the corner.
I am really pleased with the end result, and have now moved onto renovating the hallway!
