I have an oild patio door approx 4m^2, and don't have the funds at the moment to replace it. I am looking for a good Low E film I can apply to it in the interim till I can replace it. Does anyone have any good recommendations ?

Assuming it's a pvc door, replacing the glass is a lot cheaper than replacing the whole thing. Have a rough measure of the glass, phone some local window suppliers and get prices for glass only- if it's within budget then you can get into precise measurement (involves popping the beads off)
EDIT Stick on films nearly always look a bit poor

Alas it is not PVC. It's an aluminium frame and seems to be from around from the 80s. Although the film will look poorly on the window, efficiency and heat retention is more important, and the plan is to scrap the door but I need a band aid for now.

Fair enough. Get one of those big fluffy throws from Wilko and stick it to the window returns. Or do the same with bubble wrap.
Or do what we had in the 70s- lightweight timber frame with clear polythene taped to it, wedge that in the recess :)
