Please see attached file.. (posting this using my mobile phone is proving a challenge. Trying to attach a photo. When I click on the camera icon it just takes me to the bottom of my message below as if to add more text! Clicking on the picture icon requires a URL. Choosing "upload a file" does not show me the photo I've attached when viewed in the previewer! So may have to edit this on the computer later, apologies)

I've got a leak from the black rubber collar (can anyone tell me what this is called so I know what I'm ordering) whenever I flush. Additionally do I need to add any silicone sealant when I refit the seal joining the bowl and cistern pipe?

Any help or advice appreciated.

Flush cone connector, no sealant is required.
Make sure the ceramic is cleaned properly before fitting the new one.

Great, there seems to be a few types so I take my one along to compare.

Thanks at least now I know what I'm looking for :)

Okay repaired the leak, a lot of the DIY stores are calling them flush pipe connectors. I got a standard one from Wickes which was a different design to the leaky one I've replaced and instead of a female connection to the toilet bowl it was an internal or male connection.
