Low mains water pressure

Hi

Looking to purchase a Stuart Turner Flomate Boost 60.

Property has 2 bathrooms and can suffer from low mains water pressure,
There is also a combi boiler.

Would this be an ideal fix for the situation.
Have seen similiar systems without a tank but not sure if they will be as good as this?

Is there any alternative better quality pumps to?

Any help much appreciated.

You need to decide if it is poor pressure or poor flow rate that is your problem before deciding how to cure it.
What size main comes in?
Are all stop taps including the outside one fully open?

The pipe that comes in is 15mm

This morning the hot water in the upstairs bathroom was like it was dribbling out. Can change throughout the day. Sometimes it's ok but would like a constant pressure any time of day

What about the cold water? You have a combi so hot is dictated by that. Drawing 2 baths at once is going to be pathetic off a combi so "dribbling" is a bit subjective. Flomate 60 will deliver 12l min continuously, this is of course hot & cold and not sure what the maximum pressure is that you can subject them too. It may be 4.5 bar. You need to measure the flow rate, a bucket & stop watch are all that is required for this. Has it always been this way or has it got worse? What is the standing pressure when flow is good & when flow is bad.
Would it be much of a job to get a new main from the house to the stop tap in the road?
Do you have your own stop tap or are you on a shared main?
Do the neighbours suffer similar problems?
Perhaps your neighbour has fitted one and this is the cause of your problems in which case you could either both have one or neither of you have one and the situation would be much the same in either case

I fitted a Salamander Homeboost before Christmas to our house. The whole street has poor water pressure.

It's made an amazing difference and well worth the money. Bath takes 10mins to fill rather than 20+..

Any pump designed to be fitted to the maons is limited to 12l per minute (yours does 16 first due to the tank then down to 12).

I would say you'll still struggle to fill 2 baths at the same time though (combi as mcuh as water flow).

Ours before was 8l/min out of cold tap and 6l/min out of hot tap, 12 l/min out of both afterwards!.

The Salamander has soft start and adapts it's speed to maintain 12l flow rate depending on inlet flow.

Our electric shower is night and day different as well, couldn't imagine going back to none pumped supply now.

Ended up going for the flomate 60.

Got it all fitted up today.

Night and day difference now, Very happy with the difference it has made
