Friend is having problems with low pressure on upstairs shower, and wonders if it is possible to fit a booster pump to his open system?

Think it might be a hand-held straight on to the tap type shower, but I will try to find out more. New fixed showers will be installed in near future, possibly electric. At present I think it is a gravity fed system with very little head to give adequate pressure.
