Help!! Last night I bled the air out of one of my radiators. I forgot to recharge the Potterton Puma 80 boiler. This morning I had a low pressure warning light. I topped up but the light would not go out. I bled the other radiators in case and quite a bit of air came out. I topped up once again but still no joy with the light going out. I then emptied the system by turning a big red knob/button below the circulating pump?? now the pressure keeps going up and I have had to turn the power off. HELP! I am a novice in this area. No such thing as central heating where I come from.

this sort of problem on a puma is usually a sign of blockage caused by corrosion

Set the pressure to about 2 Bar and wait a day and the pressure switch might reset.

If not it will have to be replaced !

Thanks chaps. It seemed to sort itself out. It will probably conk out again soon. Probably Christmas eve or Christmas day!!

Don't be surprised if your radiators blow up.

Common Puma problem with internal blockage to gauge, exp vessel and blow off.
