I have a number of 12v lights in the kitchen, under wall cupboards, in a dresser and in the ceiling. The ceiling lights give me no problem but some of the others do. The lights work somertimes do not work which is usually remedied by tweaking the wiring or more usaully removing the glass and moving the bulbs. I have replaced some with a differnt type but the problem remains. The common element between both types is the bulbs which have two thin prongs. Any ideas?

you have either got cheap lights, or a bad connection.

try taking all connections apart and re connecting them.(dont just try tightening them)

make sure all lamps are secure and are tight in their respective lamp holders

I think it must be the quality of the lights. Do you have any recommendations?

Go to a proper lighting shop, or a proper electrical wholesaler, and buy there.

Do not go to a shed and buy there.

Yes, I agree with Ban.

You get what you pay for. Especially with SELV, which can be temperamental with poor quality tx's and poor connections.

Get the best brand your wallet can stand.
