Hi, I'm looking for some advice on installing some kitchen lighting.

I've got some LV cupboard downlighters with a wired transformer and some plinth lights with a plug-in type transformer.
I'd like to have these separately controllable using a 2 gang light switch.

Has anyone got any suggestions on the best way to go about it?

In that case you will needto wire them in to your kitchen/downstairs lighting circuit.
If you can come off your kichen ceiling rose or junction box, then onto your switch.
Have a look here , or the Wiki for further advice.

Thanks for the reply luminaire.
That is what I was planning to do with the cupboard lights before I bought the plinth lights, trouble is they have got a plug type transformer and i don't really want to wire a socket for them to the kitchen lighting.
I suppose I could wire the cupboards to the lighting and use a switched FCU spur from the ring to a socket for the plinths, but I just wanted it to look tidier with a 2gang switch to control both sets individually.
