low voltage lighting

fitted some low voltage lighting in a neighbours sons bedroom about 10 yrs ago, worked absolutely fine, now son moved out room empty, was in there the other day, switched lights on , they came on , then faded off, faded on then faded off, on off, on off, 10 second intervals. is it the dimmer switch, or has the young chap who thinks he knows it all, bin messing about with my work which was in perfect working order for many years. it behaves as if someone is standing at the dimmer slowly switching it on and off. his mother seems to think its been like it for 6 months now

Very likely the dimmer. Swop the dimmer for a standard switch, if the problem goes away, its the dimmer

Could just be that the lights are missing the boy.... ;)
