low water pressure

my water tested at 1/2 what it should be, any suggestions??? new pipes ,pump???

Where is the water coming from, where are you measuring the pressure, how are you measuring it, and in what units are you expressing the measurement of "1/2"?

water comes from a a well, measuring at the sink next to the dishwasher, by half I meant that the dishwasher manual says 1/2 gallon in 14 seconds, I get 1/4 gallon in that time

Has there been a recent change in pressure/flow?

If so, could there be a seasonal reason for this?

In any case, is the reduced pressure/flow causing a problem? For example, does the dishwasher fail to work properly?

If you need more pressure then it's temping to install a pump, but this might cause a problem because pumping water faster than the source can provide it will encourage the ingress of debris into the supply.
