Depends on what size boards you are using, surely. 1800 x 900 then 450 centres, 2400 x 1200 then 400 centres

Argh more work then, wish I hadn’t asked, only kidding if you don’t know ask lol. Will make them 400 spacing then if that is what is recommended for 9mm full sheets.
Thanks

Yes. Makes it easier to hang the boards. Do yourself a favour and put a pencil mark on the wall where each ceiling joist is, that way when you start screwing the boards to joists you'll be able to see where they are. There is cheap product called a BoardMate which makes fixing boards to ceilings much easier

The critical thing, surely, is to set the joist spacing so that the joints between boards are carried by a joist. 450mm on standard 2400 x 1200mm boards doesn't work, whereas 450mm on 1800 x 900mm boards does (conversely those boards don't work on 400mm centre joists)

Correct but unless I can get a hand I will be cutting the sheets to what I can lift myself

With a BoardMate and a T-prop you can board it single handed. TBH it can be easier to hire a board lifter
