Hi, I'm just about to fit a cooker with an LPG hob
I will be getting a Corgi registered engineer to hook it up, but the gas cylinders wont be nearby, so I plan to run in the pipework myself

Can you tell me what type of pipe I should use?
The total run will be about 8M, going through 3 rooms and numerous bends

Thanks Ian

Shouldn't you be asking the CORGI?

When we see a question like that we begin to think no CORGI is going to be involved!

Hi I understand your concern, just trying to save money with the manual labour
I didn't think it was appropriate to ring up a corgi engineer, get him to give me loads of advice on the whole job and then only use him for the connection/commissioning

Just thought I'd ask you guys

If you hope to use a CORGI then the only way you will get one to come is if you telephone him first and agree that you will use a continuous length of 10 mm soft copper or whatever he advises.

Be aware that no CORGI should allow you to make any joints yourself but he will advise on sleeving entries through walls and clipping etc. and particularly how to deal with protecting the pipe outside or underground.
