Does anyone know where I can get a m6 tap from? Need to re thread a hole in tge roof of my van as the previous owner lost one of the plungers and I can't get tge m6 bolt to bite, guess it's got wet and tge threads rusted away[/list]
Most tool and fastener stockists, and even a proper ironmongers will probably have them on the shelf.
If it is a through hole, just a taper tap will probably do the job, but if you are cutting a new thread in a blind hole, you might need the second cut and plug taps as well.
If you just need to clean out an existing thread, then just a second or plug alone may do the job.
