Dear All
I have a Mac Book Pro, Mid 13 inch Mid 2012, 2.5Ghz Dual Core i5, Memory 8Gb 1600Ghz DDR.
The laptop came originally with 4Gb Memory but ever time it slowed the Mac Book right down to a crawl that I had to manually clear cache in order to free up memory for other processes to run!
I increased the RAM to 8Gb and all was well for a while but then same problem occurred over time! Agin manually having to clear cache but on average 6.7G of memory is used with maybe 1.3Gb as cached.
Appears something oe things are grabbing as much memory as possible. Activity monitor shows load os processes running under my name and little under root.
Anyone know what the problem(s) maybe?
Many Thanks
