Machine not going through final spin

Hello,
My hotpoint washing machine (5 years old) is washing fine, drum is turning and pump is pumping out water with no problem...however, it is not going through the final spin of the cycle, it switches itself off and the clothes is coming out still dripping wet. Any suggestion as to what the problem could be?

its either the brushes, or out of balance control operating. (see manual for more info)

Motor brushes ..... Agreed and dead easy to replace... A doddle
