I have a front door frame which is constructed of mahogony wood. The frame itself has bowed outwards in the lower section so the door catches on the frame making it hard to close. This happens during the Winter time, but in Summer the door closes fine.
What is the best way to resolve this issue?
The door frame is solid and not much movement in it. I was thinking about screwing it into the sandstone brick wall where it bowes outwards? Or should I perhaps cut off some of the frame at the lowest part of the frame so it can straighten out?
I gather it is swelling due to water getting into the frame at some point causing it to swell?
Thanks in advance
