We have an new boiler only a month or so old.

Losing pressure and with help of this site I have found its the pressure relief valve. Pressure is normal- 0.5 to 1.0 but it is dripping out the end of the pipe over garage roof. Is it likely to have failed so early? Some idiot * did turn it to lose some water before a drain down to add extra rad that we had not dared add to old one.

* = me!
It looks like I am going to have to trouble plumber friend who helped with old bolier and new one again but, want to avoid that if possible and be certain of whats wrong.

Thanks for reading.

Yes you are going to have to trouble him,

the joys of doing jobs for mates

:LOL:

The usual reason for PRvs leaking is dirt in the system!

Was the radiator system power flushed before the new boiler was fitted?

Can anyone identify this boiler's make and model?

It will probably be a Main Combi 24 HE (GC No. 4747402)

Which apart from the casing will be exactly the same but different in a Skoda, Volkswagen and Audi like fashion to :-

Potterton Performa 24 ECO HE (GC No. 4739311)
