Hello, just recently i have noticed pressure slowly dropping on my boiler, but this last week it has dropped low enough over night to give the e119 error on 3 occasions.
If i re-pressure to about 1.4-ish, as the central heating heats up the pressure can get up to around 3.5, i have checked the pressure relief pipe on the outside wall and it is indeed passing warm water at this point.
If i turn the central heating off the pressure returns to normal level reasonably quickly, albeit slightly lower than when i started.
I have read the thread about about pressing the 'car' valve in to see if it leaks water, only thing is on my boiler, the bit that looks like a car valve attached to the side of the valve with the red knob doesn't have a pin in it, rather it looks to have its own white knob which i presume needs to be turned to be opened or closed.
Am i right in thinking this? should i proceed at this point? will it be expensive to get someone to check and if needed re-pressurise or is this just too small a job for a professional to be bothered with?
Thanks for any help.
