Hiya

I had a new main eco elite 30kw (rebadged baxi 630) boiler fitted last Oct and have a question.

Now the weather has warmed up and i have turned the heating dial to the lowest position, the crappy salus thermostat is set to 17c and room temp is 20c.

Why the does the boiler still rumble and the radiater symbol still flash intermittently (burner symbol does not come on) even though there is no heat demand?

Thanks

Some boilers like to run the pump only after a period of time.

I'm not sure how often it is or why they do it but there is a reason for it

Agree with @Hugh Jaleak and @sxturbo that it’s likely to be pump protection. Either that or frost protection if installed in an unheated area such as garage.

Hiya,

1) The combi boiler is in operation during the day, the hot water gets used.
2) Boiler location is inside the house, temp of location is 19c.

Any more suggestions or do i need to phone Baxi/main to get the answer from them?

Hi,

Could be a fault on room thermostat, failing that not really sure. So maybe contact Baxi. To confirm the thermostat dodgy, link it out at the boiler and see if the issue remains.
