Hello. Is it alright to tee off from the cold water feed that leads up to the header tank in my loft?

I have a indirect vented system and I have mains fed cold water in the actual bathroom and a cold water feed up to the loft (and the tanks).

I'm guessing that it shouldn't matter, but I have experienced pipe vibration when running the taps in the bathroom.

I removed a non-return valve that I installed just under the shower unit and this seems to have cured the problem.

I haven't quite finished the installation and would be glad of any advice.

p.s. I am getting an electrician in to do the wiring. Thanks Giraffe

Should fit isolation valve along the horizontal pipe I have tee'd off from the mains feed in the airing cupboard, rather than on a vertical pipe leading up to the shower?

Not sure what you mean

Tee off the rising main and whatever you feed put an islating valve for future service. ;)

That should have said "should Ifit ..."

That's great though thanks for the help!

I wont bother with the no-return valve as it seemed to be the source of the vibrations in the pipe.

:p
