mains gu10 bulbs dimable ?

Can i dim mains gu10 bulbs.

In the nursery we have a light fitting with 3 50w gu10 halogens .

can i change the light switch to a dimmer and will they work ok ?

Yes, you can dim gu10 lamps. iirc you either need to select a dimmer switch suitable for halogen lamps (150w) or if you have a normal type derate it to half i.e. 300w.
