Info,

Just fitted one of these for my mum's who was having trouble turning the brass mains stopcock off.I have to say it's very good and also works on water pressure therefore no electric wiring is needed, come in 4 metres lenght flexible pipe & longer if needed.Approx £27 for 15mm and a little bit more for bigger pipe.

It seems a good idea. Incidentally two of my last three jobs resulted in the mains stopcock having to be changed. it seems as though old stopcocks are fine as long as they aren't touched then when they are they may start to leak or not close altogether. For someone as inexperienced as me changing mains stopcocks always makes me panic a bit imagining water gushing everywhere if I don't fit them properly.
