Hello,
So i have this old (unuseable)fireplace in the middle of my livingroom. It is quite nice so we dont just want to destroy it. But our tv is where the fireplace is... And i want to build a casing around it on which i can wallmount my 74" tv. As you can see in the images i have it a bit planned out. I would be making a frame with beams (4x7cm) wood and use mdf panels 18mm thick to cover it all. The red beams in the center would be placed where the bolts of the wallmount would come for extra support. the whole casing would be resting on the floor and also be screwed on the wall. Would this be sturdy enough for a tv of +- 40kg? Or might I even be over doing it?
