What's the easiest way that I can make a hole, in a concrete driveway, for a metal gate post?

Dynamite (well you did say easiest) How thick is the concrete?
Some sort of mini breaker. Hire one and you'll get a selection of chisel ends to choose from. Won't be poss to get a really small hole though, as it'll need to be wide enough to get the tool or a narrow spade in.

can be done if your careful. If you have an angle grinder then cut the square for the hole as deep as possible without going over the edge of the sqaure. Then as wabbit poo says use a breaker. If youre careful and lucky you should be able to break it away without doing damage to the surrounding concrete and will only have a small neat area to make good.
