Making garage floor good to paint. Screeding ?

I have a garage floor that already has a dpc and (uneven) concrete base.
There is a slight gradient from the back to the front of the garage.
I'd like to make good/smooth the floor so that it can be painted.
Is screeding the answer or will something else do the trick ?
Can't raise the floor too much as there is a garage door at one end so there are limitations on the depth of the floor covering.
Any help/advice much appreciated.

the only thing that may work is a tough floor levelling compound but success may be limited. i'm fairly sure levelling compounds are for sub-floor use only and are used in conjunction with floor coverings.

there are two part epoxy coatings but you don't want to go there.

there are epoxy paints too.

noseall is correct.

Self leveling componds are not meant for a wearing surface, merely to level subfloor before tiling or amtico/karndean flooring.

Now theres an idea? Why not tile the floor with some cheap and cheerful anti slip floor tiles

I went to the local Vauxhall garage other week for new tyres and their woorkshop was tiled with white floor tiles.
