Hi, I have channeled the walls, for running cables for sockets and some are lath and plaster but many are brick/stone etc and many have lining paper on them, so they look like they will be a sod to try and fill to lose the channels so that you cannot see them after painting.

I see Polycell do a range of things to deal with bad walls etc so not sure if that would help.

So what is the best way to lose the channels so that you can not see them afterwards apart from having every room replastered.

Any advice appreciated

I like to use, one coat/bonding coat/board adhesive, to fill the chases, followed by jointing compound to finish. jointing compound will need to be sanded, and maybe two coats.

bonding coat/hardwall depending on brick type etc, fill the chases flush and when it's gone cheese like cut back a couple of mill to give room for filler, then fill with easifill and sand back, job done.
