Hi Guys,
The floor in my new extension has landed 35mm lower than the old house. Downstairs it's all knocked through in to one room, so I need to equalise this to lay a 20mm engineered wood floor.
It seems too thin for a screed, and I'd rather not have to wait for it to dry out too. I'm not sure what standard ply sizes are available, but would I be okay laying something like 35mm ply wood to equalise the levels and then laying a floating floor over a 5mm underlay?
My electrician suggested polystyrene too, but this seems too brittle to me?
Thanks
Gary
