Makita LXT range

I'm looking at replacing my current Makita MXT drill and want to know if anybody is using the new LXT range. Looking at ebay, there are some offers which seem really good for US sourced kit. Have any of you got any of this and are the advertising promises valid (more power for weight, longer lasting etc).

No they are not, the batteries are underpowered for the purpose.

I can recommend the impact driver but not;

The drill
The grinder
The circular Saw

There is a reason why there are some cheap deals

Stick to the MXT range, I love my MXT drill!

Beware buying US-spec tools - if they go wrong, it's unlikely that any service agents in the UK will be even remotely interested in you asking them to repair them under warranty. As for which range, I'd say MXT

lxt angle grinder jigsaw circ saw Load of ess aich one tea impact driver great.

I suspect Li ion battery technology isn't good enough for the working man. Probably fine for ponsy diyers.
